Comme à chaque semaine c‘est le moment du Petit coin du ciel chez Chat Bleu et Mamy Soren et bien sûr, je participe avec un grand plaisir.
Cette semaine, dans la catégorie, un morceau de mon quartier, je vous parle des patates. Oui, comme dans la célèbre chanson : « Lucy in the Sky with Patatoes », quoi vous ne connaissez pas ??? À moins que ce n’est pas tout à fait le titre exacte de la chanson…. mais je suis certaine que cette version doit exister quelque part également ! Après tout, les pommes de terres sont extrêmement populaires !
L’autre jour, j’avais environ une heure et 17 minutes à perdre (je vous parlerai de cet épisode de ma vie très prochainement, car bien qu’il ne contient rien d’essentielle historiquement parlant, je crois que ça peut-être divertissant) et armée de mon appareil photo j’ai décidée de faire le tour de mon quartier. J’ai commencée par des cercles concentriques de plus en plus grands en partant de mon point de départ (oui, je suis un peu obssesive), pour finalement aboutir ( à un rayon d’environ 500 mètres de mon point de départ) devant la bibliothèque Jacques Ferron de Longueuil.
Et là, quelle surprise ! J’étais tout de suite séduite par les couleurs des installations à l’arrière du bâtiment. Des bancs et des hauts-parleurs peinturés avec des couleurs vives et un peu partout des plants de patates (je ne savais pas qu’il y avait autant de variétés !!) disposées dans des bacs/sacs noirs. Le tout est très intriguant ! Il s’agit d’une exposition visuelle et sonore de l’artiste d’origine ukrainienne Eugenia Reznik , intitulée « Écouter le champ des racines ! « .
Dans chaque haut-parleur vous pouvez écouter des histoires de patates… Des histoires des gens déracinés, venant d’ailleurs, de d’autres régions mais également de sphères sociales différentes et qui partagent un point en commun; la pomme de terre. Des témoignages touchants, drôles, des morceaux de vie déracinés et des rêves nourris des pommes de terres… Chaque histoire est différente et unique, tout comme les pommes de terres; pareilles mais différentes. J’ai passée mon heure et 17 minutes à écouter, photographier et surtout penser à quel point les pommes de terres et moi on se ressemble. On peut déraciner une pomme de terre mais le goût de sa terre natale restera pour toujours bien présent dans sa chaire.

La programmation de l’exposition se trouve ici. Ça se termine le 1er octobre avec la fête de la récolte qui s’annonce vraiment très chouette. Si vous êtes à Longueuil allez faire un tour !!! C’est gratuit, c’est en plein air, quoi demander de plus ?? Bravo à la ville et à l’artiste ! Et laissez moi vous dire qu’après la visite de cette exposition, les pommes de terres prennent une tout autre signification !
